The public meetings of the 25th (Ordinary) Session of the (IBC) and the Joint Session of the IBC and the IGBC will be held in Room XI at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris on 11 and 12 (morning) September 2018.

The first part of the morning of 11 September 2018 will be devoted to agenda items common to the IBC, the IGBC and COMEST, namely the progress report on the UNESCO Bioethics and Ethics of Science Programme, and the proposals to strengthen cooperation between IGBC, IBC and COMEST.

These will be followed by discussion of one of the main work topics of the IBC for 2018-2019: the principle of individual responsibility as related to health.

In the afternoon of 11 September, the Joint Session will examine one of the main work topics of COMEST, namely water ethics, followed by the discussion of the other main work topic of the IBC, modern parenthood.

Meetings reserved for IBC and COMEST members only will be organized on 10, 12 (after the closing of the public session), 13, and 14 September 2018.
